How we Found the Lord and the Local Church, S.C.

I am a housewife, mother of four grown children and grandmother of one baby boy. When I was young we went to a denomination; and I kept going there and also took my children. I can remember singing the hymns, reading the Bible in Sunday school and then listening to the minister preach. When we returned home, the subject that was most on our minds was the funny little stories that the minister had told about something that had happened in his family.

We were quiet in the church sanctuary except when we sang hymns or repeated what was on the printed program.

When my third son got to be a teenager he wanted to take karate lessons. He continued taking those lessons; and it was through the couple that ran the school that he met the believers in the local church. He loved the Lord and the local church and would tell us about his experiences. Then eventually I went to some home meetings and some of the believers came to our home. I began to know and love the Lord's Word and to love the believers there.

I began to love the Lord's Table Meetings on the Lord's Day mornings (1 Corinthians 10:21). It was a joyful time that I had never experienced before. I really appreciate the books that Watchman Nee and Witness Lee have written. I thank the Lord for bringing me to meet with the local church.
